Jess Ranch has been providing anglers with Rainbow trout fishing for more than 50 years.  The Hatchery has produced over 400,000 pounds of Rainbow Trout per year for private lake stocking.  A change in ownership caused the Hatchery to be closed for a few years, but the fishing lakes remained opened.  The Hatchery has reopened and many new activities are planned for this beautiful oasis in the High Desert.

Our Mission

The Lakes are operated by Friends of the Lake, a California 501(c)(3) Non Profit Corporation.  While the Hatchery remains privately operated, the Lakes are operated for the benefit of the Community and "Kid" that is in all of us.  Our Mission is maintain this beautiful setting for the young at heart and develop it in a way that benefit all of the residents of the High Desert.
